Area Adventures: Tweetsie Ghost Train

Many people familiar with Tweetsie Railroad have learned to love it's Wild West themes and their train robbery and Indian attack show on their train ride. However, if you haven't been around for the past fourteen seasons you might be unaware in October the ghouls and haunts arise and take over the park. The very popular Ghost Train Halloween Festival converts the Ol' West into a fantastically spooky adventure for all Trick-or-Treaters.

The park is open daily from 9am to 6pm, but at 7:30pm the "bewitching hour" begins and Casey Bones and his ghostly crew invite all brave souls on a ride on the Ghost Train. In addition to the train, their Creepy Carnival offers rides for all ages and the adventurous guests can ascend Mournful Mountain on a chair lift ride through the night. Due to its increasing popularity guests are encouraged to buy all tickets in advance as the shows tend to be sold out.
